Taco Seasoning
Amazing taco seasoning mix to have on hand every time you make your Tex-Mex favourites.
Containing all the spices necessary to make wonderfully seasoned tacos, this taco seasoning mix is indispensable. I always have a jar of this on hand for all those taco nights.
This recipe is for a very small batch, but it can be easily quadrupled or more for those who regularly enjoy making one of the easiest and most delicious of meals.
Per pound of ground meat (or Beyond Beef), I like to use a heaping tablespoon of this seasoning. Once the meat has browned, add in the seasoning and mix. Add about a cup of water to the pan, mix well, and let simmer until the water is mostly evaporated and the meat is a bit saucy.
Ingredients
(Makes 3 servings)
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried cilantro
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions
In a small mixing bowl, combine all the spices and stir to combine. Store in an airtight container and use as needed.
