Pudding Spice
An important spice used in delicious holiday desserts.
Pudding spice (also known as mixed spice) is frequently used in holiday recipes, particularly those in Britain. It is similar to pumpkin pie spice with a few differences.
It is an important spice used in mincemeat pies and might be difficult to obtain outside the U.K. If you have a hard time finding it, try making this mix from scratch.
Ingredients
(Makes 14 servings | Serving size = 1 teaspoon)
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
1 tablespoon ground allspice
2 teaspoons ground mace
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Directions
In a mixing bowl, combine all the spices and mix well. Store in an airtight container and shake each time before use.
